| The Guitar God-a-Thon, now in its second year, is a celebration of all things thrashing, and a hell of a good time. Part of the Lucifer's Hammer series at the Covered Wagon, guitar affcianados from all over the bay area come together to determine who is the greatest guitar killer in the land. I was also at last years shredfest, and although this year's competetion didn't feature as many competitiors and wasn't quite as much fun, this is shaping up to be a don't miss yearly party. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There were 12 contestants this year, comprising many different styles, but all dedicated to playing their guitars as fast and furiously as possible. The winner walked away with an Elvira edition Warlock. Unfortunatly, I don't know who won since the band that played in between the competiton and the second round drove me out of there. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
