Covered Wagon Saloon San Francisco, CA with Nigel Peppencock and Folcaino
Seattle's Bloodhag have a unique mission. They play "Edu-Core". What the hell is that? Broken down, it's speed metal with lyrics promoting lieracy. That's right, all their blistering songs are about sci-fi authors. Songs like "George Orwell and "Kurt Vonnegut" shred knowledge into your life. Like their slogan goes, "The faster you go deaf...The more time you'll have to read."
It goes without saying that this was an incredible show. part of the Lucifer's hammer series at the Covered Wagon, Bloodhag tore through their set, all the while educating and entertaining their audience. Finally, someeone shut down the "shut up and play" guy that's in every crowd.
Pictures and video from the March 12 show. You can also see the stickers we got and the copy of "Dream Snake" the band threw in our direction.
