John Leitera is one of those guys. He's a singer songwriter who doesn't want to to be a singer songwriter. He'd much rather rock. So he's put some guys behind him to beef up the sound of his very personal songs and they are Low Water. The faces in the band change show to show depending on the needs of the venue and of course, everyone's schedule.
John's been around for a while, playing in Youngstown, Ohio based Boogie Man Smash, who had some indie rock success around the country culminating in the band's final record produced by the legendary Kramer. He's also written hundreds of his own songs, which he plays in one man acoustic jam settings and with Low Water.
All Ages Show host Sukjhit caught up with John on a sunny San francisco afternoon and they talked about what motivates him to keep going through all the good times and bad and his plans for the future. She also sweet talked John into playing a song for us and our crack camera crew commited it to tape for you. See it here or just take a listen here. You can also see part of the interview here or check out the whole thing on the broadcast version All Ages Show.
You can grab more Low Water MP3s at their MP3 site or dig on the whole band thing at lowwatermusic.com
