| Great American Music Hall San Francisco, CA w/ Reverend Horton Heat |
| The first time I saw The Nashville Pussy was back in '97 when they opened for The Makers and The Headcoatees in Morgantown, WV. They had the 6' blonde fire eating bass player which was cool, the two girls in the band spent much of the show punching some dude in the front row which was scary, and they fired their drummer when they were done playing by busting up his kit and kicking the crap out of him, which sucked 'cause we had to give the drummer a ride back to Pittsburgh. ( an aside to this story, just to show how rock we are here at AAS, also in that van that night were Patrick from the Dirtbombs, Deann from the Come-Ons, Mike from the Sermon, Lori from Thickhead Grin, and Max, who was in the Nashville Pussy and the Cynics). |

| On top of all of that, they wern't that good. Well times have changed. The Pussy has a new bass player and a new drummer, and you know what, they rock real hard now. The Atlanta foursome ripped through a ton of songs, with screams and hair, and tons of attitude. Whatever they've been doing the last 5 years sure has worked. A very interesting opener for the legendary Horton Heat. |
