Bottom of the Hill San Francisco, CA with Your Enemies Friends
If The Who was a punk band fronted by a badass girl, they'd be Pretty Girls Make Graves. A post grunge Seattle supergroup of sorts (Murder City Devils, The Hookers, etc.) the quintet has a great CD, a really solid Ep, and a powerful, manic live show. Plus they have a really cool name. There was a Smiths song of the same title, I figure that's where it came from, but don't bank on that.
This show proved the band as a force to be reckoned with. Musically superior to the last time I saw them plus all the jumping around, near miss spins I could handle. This is a group we should all be watching 'cause eventually, if things keep going the way they are going, Pretty Girls is going to put out one of "those" records and we're gonna have to start paying $20 to see them.
Heres some pictures from the show and a clip to give you an idea what the band is all about.
