Slim's San Francisco, CA with The Stiff Ones & Candyass
The Toilet Boys have gotten most of their press, at least what I've read from their singer who is a man that looks like a woman. Although this is fine, I think they should get their press based on the fact that they f**kin' rock and pull out all the stops live. Playing lower east side new york rock and roll, a little glam, a little metal, a little punk, the Toilet Boys are one of America's finest rock and roll bands.
We were supposed to see the Toilet Boys in October but they cancelled the show, i suppose due to the terrorsit attacks, and we didn't go to the rescheduled date due to a previous commitment, but damned if they didn't make it up. Firebreathing, spark-shooting guitars and flashpots, electric grinders, all the while playing song after song and keeping a ferocious energy the whole time, New York's new dolls owned Boz Scagg's joint. Go see this band, but bring your earplugs and enjoy a few drinks beforehand, 'cause I'll tell ya, it's fun.
Pictures and video from the March 19 show. I took so many more, 88 to be exact, but these were the best ones.
